Two fixed-angle rotors provide a maximum capacity of 24 x 1.5/2.0 ml. Thanks to rotors for PCR strips, microhaematocrit capillary tubes and filter tubes, the microcentrifuges are all-round laboratory centrifuges suitable for a wide variety of applications. It is popular for molecular biology applications such as DNA, RNA and protein isolation, clinical chemistry, and in research labs and food labs, universities, and the pharmaceutical industry.
The Sigma 1 14K is the most compact refrigerated centrifuge commercially available and easily achieves +4°C at maximum speed.
High-grade microcentrifuge with an extensive range of rotors
As the big sister of the Sigma 1 14, the Sigma 1-16 and Sigma 1 16K microcentrifuges stand out with space-saving design, high-quality finishing and excellent performance characteristics.
The extensive range includes rotors for PCR strips, filter tubes and 2 ml or 5 ml microlitre tubes, and a rotor for centrifuging microhaematocrit capillary tubes. Their strong performance and range of rotors make the microcentrifuges ideal for microbiological and protein biochemistry applications and clinical chemistry applications.
The Sigma 1 16K also features a fan control that adjusts the fan speed according to the necessary cooling capacity, making the centrifuge significantly quieter and reducing power consumption. At maximum speed the Sigma 1 16K reliably achieves +4°C.
