The new Milestone PYRO is an advanced microwave muffle furnace ashing system of new generation. PYRO perfectly suits several applications including ashing, sulfated ashing, loss on ignition (LOI), residue on ignition (ROI), fusion and generally all high-temperature reactions under controlled conditions.
The new Brookfield Powder Flow Tester is the simple answer to industry needs:
- A competent lab technician can run tests and collect data within minutes, eliminating the need for a powder specialist.
- The automated analysis provided by the Powder Flow Pro software calculates various properties of the powder, including the critical dimensions for reliable powder flow out of the hoppers, feeders, bins and silos.
- The Wolfson Center for Bulk Solids Handling Technology at the University of Greenwich, England, has worked closely with Brookfield to design the Powder Flow Tester, thereby ensuring its suitability for practical industrial use.
- The competitive purchase price is a small fraction of comparable devices available in the powder flow market.
Analysis of the “Flow Function” leads to calculation of the critical outlet dimensions of feeders, hoppers, etc., through which the powder will flow.
Comparing the “Flow Function”, or these critical dimensions, allows powders to be benchmarked, ranked and compared against one another for flowability.
The dimensions can also be used to determine whether a particular powder will flow through an existing plant or process, or to determine what the geometry should be if purchasing new solids handling equipment.
Applications include but are not limited to R&D, Incoming Materials Inspection, New Product Formulation, Quality Control, Process Plant Design

The SFR vario offers online monitoring of oxygen, biomass and pH or CO2 - simultaneously. Online measured biomass data can be correlated with parameters like optical density, cell dry weight, or cell concentration.
This way it is possible to get real-time information on e. g. OD600 development. The device optics can read out one oxygen and one pH or CO2 (CO2 Technical Data) sensor spots - integrated in the ready-to-use cultivation vessels - and also comprise a dedicated optical set-up for biomass monitoring. The oxygen uptake rate (OUR) can be calculated from the slope of the online oxygen measurements. The system has two long-lasting, rechargeable batteries, and is compatible with any standard shaking incubators. Up to 4 SFR vario can be controlled from the SFR vario software. Measurement data are transferred wirelessly via Bluetooth to a PC / notebook.
- Simultaneous real-time measurement of O2, biomass & pH or CO2
- Automatic OUR calculation
- Online measurement of optical density, cell dry weight, cell concentration by correlation with biomass measurements
- Parallel measurements in up to 4 shake flasks
- Wireless data transfer enables easy integration
- Bioprocess development & media optimization

- Getting Started
This device comprises rechargeable batteries (accumulators) for self-contained
power supply. Rechargeable batteries may be replaced by the manufacturer only.
Rechargeable batteries are subject to normal wear which is more or less
pronounced depending on operating and storage conditions. This normal wear is
no defect which is covered by the device warranty.
The manual ERWEKA SMG 697 and SMG 53466 are the units for the reproducible determination of apparent bulk density, which can be used with all free flowing powders or granulates.
According to DIN ISO 697 and DIN 53 466, the apparent bulk density is determined by measuring the mass of powder in a receiver of known dimension after filling from a funnel of a specified shape under specified conditions.
Included in the delivery are the apparatus SMG 697 or SMG 53466, operating instructions and a calibration certificate.
This cytocentrifuge configuration, SIGMA 2-7 Cyto RESOSPIN® configuration, includes:

High performance with a new design
The Sigma 2-7 compact laboratory centrifuge arose from the experiences and desires of our customers. The technical features of this centrifuge are impressive: stainless steel bowl, imbalance switch, motorised lid lock, innovative run display with blue LEDs, and process reliability. The centrifuge is also very quiet in operation. Specimens are only slightly warmed, which is important for blood specimen tubes in particular. Together with a versatile, modular swing-out rotor, the foundation is laid for a successful career in many laboratories.
The benchtop centrifuge is available with numerous swing-out and fixed-angle rotors, along with various buckets and adapters. The extensive range of accessories can accommodate tubes and flasks from 1.5 ml to 100 ml as well as microtiter and deepwell plates.
The Sigma 2‑7 is also available as an IVD model.
