Qu'est-ce qu'un four de laboratoire ?
Un four de laboratoire est un instrument conçu pour le séchage au laboratoire. Des éléments chauffants électriques chauffent l'enceinte sur quatre faces, et une sonde Pt précise mesure la température interne. La plage atteint généralement 300 °C.
Quelle est la différence entre un four de laboratoire et un incubateur de laboratoire ?
Sur le plan technique, les deux instruments sont très proches : tous deux utilisent des éléments chauffants sur quatre faces pour réguler la température.
L'incubateur est optimisé pour la stabilité autour des températures d'incubation (par ex. 37 °C). Le four vise une plage plus large (jusqu'à 300 °C).
Malgré cette similitude, les usages diffèrent. Le four sert généralement au séchage (verrerie, détermination d'humidité), tandis que l'incubateur convient aux applications à basse température comme la microbiologie.
Quelle est la différence entre un four à convection naturelle et un four à convection forcée ?
Dans un four à convection naturelle, la chaleur se transmet par le brassage naturel de l'air chaud qui s'élève. Un four à convection forcée ajoute un ventilateur qui brasse activement l'air, accélérant le mélange et le transfert de chaleur.
La convection naturelle est généralement préférée pour les poudres. Pour les autres types d'échantillons, la convection forcée est privilégiée pour de meilleures performances de température et des temps de séchage plus courts.
