L'échantillonnage microbien de surface à l'aide de plaques de contact (par exemple RODAC) est un élément important de la surveillance de l'environnement dans diverses industries. La norme ISO 1893 fournit des conseils sur la manière de procéder. 2 aspects sont importants pour l'échantillonnage des surfaces horizontales :
- La pression/le poids sur la surface doit être normalisé(e)
- Le temps d'échantillonnage doit être normalisé à 10 secondes.
L'échantillonnage de surface est un élément important de la surveillance des particules viables dans le cadre des lignes directrices de l'annexe 1 des BPF pour la production de médicaments stériles.
