Parr introduces the next generation of calorimeters: the 7400 and 7200

Product Launch: Parr 7000 series calorimeters

Parr has introduced the 7400 Automatic Isoperibol Calorimeter and 7200 Precision Isoperibol Calorimeter, succeeding the 6400 and 6200 respectively. The new generation brings a larger touchscreen, redesigned navigation and practical improvements to everyday laboratory use.

Analis now offers both models to laboratories in Belgium and Luxembourg, with application advice and local technical support.

A more intuitive experience for laboratory teams

The most visible change is the 10-inch adjustable touchscreen, replacing the previous generation’s 4-inch display. Operators can tilt the screen to suit their viewing position and access more information on a single screen.

The updated software platform and upgraded processor support responsive interaction and clearer navigation through instrument functions.

Key improvements include:

  • A larger, tiltable display for comfortable viewing and easier interaction.
  • Redesigned menus for more intuitive access to everyday functions.
  • Memory for up to eight combustion vessels, compared with four previously.
  • A slimmer 7200, reduced in width by 5 cm to save bench space.
  • More accessible connections on the 7400 for practical day-to-day use.

Familiar measurement principles, updated operation

The new models retain the combustion vessel designs and calculation methods established in the previous generation. The development focuses on usability and instrument interaction, rather than shorter analysis times.

The 7400 continues the emphasis on automation for laboratories managing high daily workloads. The 7200 combines precision with the flexibility of a removable vessel design for varied analytical applications.

What does this mean for current Parr users?

If your laboratory uses a Parr 6400 or 6200, the launch provides an opportunity to review future equipment needs alongside your current workflow.

Analis can help you assess whether the new generation fits your priorities, from operator involvement and sample requirements to available bench space. For existing instruments, our technical team can also advise on maintenance and spare parts availability.
