Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) is a technique widely used in the biopharmaceutical industry in the quality control of protein biotherapeutics. Traditionally CE has used ultraviolet (UV) detection to detect proteins and their impurities, however recent advancements have enabled other detection techniques, for example laser induced fluorescence (LIF) and native fluorescence (NF) to be employed.
