Choose an economical calorimeter for practical teaching and routine testing. The Parr 6100 combines a removable combustion vessel and bucket with automatic oxygen filling and real-time heat exchange corrections.

Its hands-on workflow makes it a practical option for university laboratories and smaller or intermittent analytical workloads. Available from Analis in Belgium and Luxembourg, with local advice and maintenance.

Practical operation with controlled investment

  • Economical design: a static jacket avoids the cost and complexity of a temperature-controlled water jacket.
  • Hands-on learning: manual preparation, bucket filling and vessel cleaning support practical laboratory teaching.
  • Automatic oxygen filling: touchscreen-controlled filling simplifies vessel preparation.
  • Real-time compensation: the instrument monitors jacket temperature and corrects for heat exchange during testing.
  • Flexible use: suitable for intermittent workloads and laboratories that do not require extensive automation.

Teaching and analytical applications

The 6100 supports practical work on calorimeter calibration, combustion and thermodynamics. It also serves analytical applications such as coal, waste and alternative fuel testing, where its performance meets the method requirements.

For reliable results, operate the instrument away from draughts and temperature fluctuations, and follow a regular calibration verification schedule.

    Technical information

    Key specifications

    FeatureParr 6100
    Measurement systemContinuously compensated static jacket
    Typical throughput4–8 tests per hour
Operator time per testApproximately 6 minutes
    Precision classification0.1–0.2% class
    Oxygen fillingAutomatic
    Bucket filling and vessel washingManual
Vessel designRemovable, with multiple vessel options
    Dimensions, W × D × H57 × 40 × 43 cm

Throughput and precision depend on configuration, operating conditions and calibration. Higher throughput requires appropriate vessel and bucket arrangements.

How does the compensated jacket work?

The 6100 measures the surrounding jacket temperature and applies heat exchange corrections in real time. Unlike an isoperibol system, it does not maintain the jacket at a constant temperature.

Water is still required in the bucket for the measurement.

Configure and maintain your Parr 6100

Analis helps you select the vessel, accessories and maintenance options for your teaching or analytical needs. The 6120 Expanded System combines the 6100 with a printer, extra vessel and bucket, and maintenance kits.

Local technical support and spare parts held in stock are available for laboratories in Belgium and Luxembourg.
