The Sigma 4-16S benchtop centrifuge stands out with versatile rotor configurations and outstanding capacity. Large sample volumes are processed efficiently, up to 4 x 750 ml in a swing-out rotor or 6 x 250 ml in a fixed-angle rotor. Its especially smooth running ensures excellent, reproducible sedimentation. With its wide rotor range, it suits research labs, hospitals, universities and pharmaceutical labs, as well as cell culture and biotechnology applications.
What makes the Sigma 4-16S benchtop centrifuge so attractive?
The Sigma 4-16S is available with numerous swing-out and fixed-angle rotors as well as various buckets and adapters, including many biosafe configurations.
The extensive accessory range accommodates tubes and flasks from 0.2 ml to 750 ml, as well as microtiter and deepwell plates.
The swing-out rotors hold up to 3 litres (4 x 750 ml) or, for example, 16 x 50 ml tubes. The achievable RCF values are best-in-class for this centrifuge segment. Fixed-angle highlights include a 6 x 250 ml rotor with a maximum RCF of 13,131 x g and the ability to spin 50 ml culture tubes at over 23,000 x g.
This compact unit combines intuitive operation with well-designed features. The patented Spincontrol S one-knob controller offers strong operating convenience, safety and versatility. The 30 acceleration and 30 braking profiles help optimise separation runs and yields. Routine protocols can be saved under user-defined names and quickly recalled from the integrated process library.
With automatic rotor identification, run-time and speed monitoring, password-protected controller access and secure program storage, the centrifuge ensures uncompromising safety.
The Sigma 4-16S is also available as the refrigerated Sigma 4-16KS and the refrigerated-and-heated Sigma 4-16KHS. An inert-gas port is optionally available for this device series.
