Innovative Features of Sigma Centrifuges
Energy Efficiency, Maintenance-Free Design, and a Comprehensive Product Family
Sigma centrifuges are designed to combine long-term reliability, energy efficiency, and user comfort, meeting the demands of modern laboratory environments.

Eco Mode – Energy Efficiency and Improved Lab Comfort
Sigma laboratory centrifuges are built to last and are easy to maintain and repair, reflecting their high manufacturing quality. Beyond performance and reliability, Sigma places strong emphasis on improving the laboratory working environment.
Several refrigerated models feature an energy-saving Eco Mode (standby mode, depending on configuration). After a user-defined period of inactivity, the centrifuge automatically switches to standby mode.
Key benefits:
- Reduced energy consumption
- Lower operational costs
- Significantly reduced noise levels by switching off refrigeration
- Improved comfort in the laboratory

A Complete Product Family
Sigma Centrifuge Portfolio
The Sigma centrifuge range covers a broad spectrum of laboratory applications, including:
Rotor types and capacities
Maximum speed (RPM) and centrifugal force (RCF, × g)
Refrigerated models
Medical devices for IVD applications
Wide variety of tube and container formats

Your Comfort in Centrifugation
No More Greasing
Proper cleaning and maintenance of centrifuges and accessories are essential for safe long-term operation and optimal separation performance.
With traditional swing-out rotors, regular greasing of the bucket pins is required. Insufficient greasing can prevent buckets from swinging out correctly, causing imbalance.
Thanks to the Sigma Comfort Coating, the black pins of Sigma Comfort rotors no longer require greasing.
Result:
- Smooth operation of rotor and buckets over many years
- Reduced maintenance effort
- Improved safety and user convenience
Our products
This Clinical Package includes:
- 4-5KL centrifuge
- 1 swing-out rotor no. 11660,
- 2 sets of 2 buckets no. 13460,
- 2 sets of 2 adapters to choose from among no. 18460 or 18461
The Sigma 4-5KL refrigerated centrifuge, like the Sigma 4-5L unrefrigerated version, is designed for high-throughput laboratories with changing and heavy workloads, respectively. The maximum capacity for blood collection tubes is up to 25% more than in comparable units in their class. Sigma 4-5L with optimized air guidance guarantees low specimen heating and pleasantly quiet running. Sigma 4-5KL scores with the energy-saving ECO mode feature.
Highlights
- Max. 144 tubes
- 50 programs
- Monitoring of specimen temperature and alarm function (patented)
- Short acceleration/deceleration times
- Motorized lid lock
- High imbalance tolerance
- Available as IVD product
