NEW EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH ACOERELA

We are proud to announce a new exclusive partnership with Acoerela, whose breakthrough probes and reference standards are redefining clarity and precision in extracellular vesicle (EV), nanoparticle, bacterial, and tumour research.

Why It Matters: Traditional EV tracking probes often generate non-specific signals, making data interpretation complex and uncertain. Acoerela’s innovative solutions overcome this limitation by enabling researchers to clearly distinguish true biological signals from background noise. In addition, Acoerela Reference Liposomes provide a robust tool for instrument optimisation and assay standardisation, ensuring reproducibility, reliability, and confidence across experiments.

Stronger Together: This partnership creates strong synergies with our nanoparticle research workflows, including ultracentrifugation, density gradient centrifugation, particle sizing, microscopy, and flow cytometry.

By combining Acoerela’s cutting-edge chemistry with our advanced instrumentation, we offer researchers an integrated toolkit to accelerate discovery and push the boundaries of biomedical research.

Advancing Oncology Research & Molecular Detection

Expanding the Global Reach of the superRCA® Assay

A new partnership between Beckman Coulter and Rarity Bioscience is expanding the global availability of superRCA®, a pioneering solution that accelerates mutation detection using flow cytometry with logarithmically higher sensitivity compared to the current gold-standard digital PCR (dPCR) method.

What is superRCA®?

superRCA® is an ultrasensitive multiplex assay designed to detect extremely low levels of DNA sequence variants, such as cancer-associated mutations, in tissue and liquid biopsy samples.

It can detect one mutated DNA molecule among 100,000 wild-type molecules, enabling highly sensitive molecular analysis.

A New Molecular Dimension for Flow Cytometry

While traditional flow cytometry has primarily been used for phenotypic analysis, this innovative platform integrates a molecular assay based on rolling circle amplification (RCA) and padlock probes.

By combining these technologies, superRCA® assays enable highly specific, multiplex detection of sequence variants, including single-point DNA mutations, with exceptional precision and sensitivity.

New Ready-to-Use, Dry and Shelf-Stable Reagents

The BAT Basophil Activation Test (BAT) – Allergy Testing

Basophils play a key role in allergic reactions by releasing histamine and other mediators upon activation.

During a Basophil Activation Test (BAT), a blood sample is exposed to suspected allergens and subsequently analyzed by flow cytometry to detect basophil activation using conjugated antibodies targeting surface activation markers.

The new BAT Basophil Activation Test from Beckman Coulter is a functional assay designed to measure basophil activation in response to specific allergens or other stimuli.

Key Advantages

  • Enables simultaneous testing of multiple allergens from a single blood draw, reducing the need for time-consuming food challenges and minimizing exposure to potentially harmful reactions.

  • Allows customization of allergens and antibodies in a ready-to-use dry antibody panel, with no antibody or allergen pipetting required.

What is a Basophil Activation Test (BAT) ?  Discover How Smart the BAT Workflow

The Basophil Activation Test (BAT) is a functional flow cytometry assay used to evaluate basophil activation in response to allergens or other stimuli.

Thanks to ready-to-use reagents and standardized formats, the BAT workflow is designed to be efficient, reliable, and easy to implement in routine and research laboratories.
