Advanced Internal Design
The analytical process begins by weighing the sample into a combustion boat, followed by thermal decomposition under air or oxygen flow.
Mercury and combustion by-products pass through a catalyst section, where interferences are removed. Mercury is reduced and trapped on a gold amalgamator, then released into multiple measuring cells along the spectrophotometer optical path.
The double-beam configuration enhances sensitivity, improves quantification limits, and ensures precise mercury determination even at ultra-trace levels.
