Nitrogen evaporators

Discover the Right Nitrogen Evaporator for Efficient Sample Concentration in Your Lab

As the official dealer of LabTech in Belgium and Luxembourg, Analis provides a comprehensive selection of nitrogen evaporators designed to meet the needs of modern laboratories, from basic manual units to advanced automated systems.

Also known as blow down evaporators, concentrators are a solid alternative to rotary evaporation, capable of processing multiple samples together. Concentrators accelerate the evaporation by decreasing the partial vapor pressure of the solvent just above the surface of the liquid. They use a jet of gas to continually force off the layer of air that is saturated with vapor. By immediately removing molecules that enter the vapor state, the molecules do not have a chance to return to the liquid, which increases the evaporation rate. Blowdown technique is very useful for small sample volumes because with larger samples nitrogen blowdown will take longer and semi-volatile compounds may be lost. Whether your lab demands high-throughput automation or manual precision, LabTech offers 4 versatile concentrator models: 2 automated and 2 manual, each designed to accommodate various tube sizes.

Advantages Over Other Techniques

Nitrogen concentrators offer several benefits compared to traditional evaporation methods such as rotary evaporators, especially when handling large numbers of small-volume samples:

  • Speed and Efficiency: Nitrogen concentrators accelerate the evaporation process by directing a gas stream over the liquid, which displaces vapor-saturated air layers and speeds up evaporation.
  • Compact Design: These devices are generally more compact than rotary evaporators, making them ideal for laboratories with limited space.
  • Versatility: Suitable for small sample volumes (less than 50 ml) and capable of handling multiple samples simultaneously.
  • Safety and Ease of Use: With adjustable temperature settings and integrated vapor extraction systems, nitrogen concentrators are designed for user safety and convenience.

A nitrogen evaporator accelerates the evaporation of liquid samples by directing a flow of nitrogen gas over the sample surface, displacing the saturated vapor layer. Typically combined with heat (via water bath or dry block), this method delivers fast and controlled evaporation. Advanced models, such as LabTech’s MultiVap 10, include integrated vapor management and endpoint detection.

Compact and Modular Solutions

Designed to save lab space while offering maximum flexibility.

High Throughput Accelerated Evaporation Process

Our nitrogen evaporators accelerate the evaporation process by directing a gas stream over the liquid samples, displacing vapor-saturated air layers. Models for 6, 10, 64, or 96 sample positions adapt to any scale for small sample volumes (less than 50 ml).

Safe and Efficient

The MultiVap 64 is the latest multi-channel and multifunctional parallel instrument designed by LabTech.
It includes all accessories and functions to ensure the highest standard of efficiency, speed, reliability, throughput and safety of any concentration process. Nitrogen sweeping, needle level adjustment and visible concentration process are only few of the advantages offered by the MultiVap 64.
