The Sigma 8KBS is a refrigerated floor-standing centrifuge specifically
developed for deployment in blood banks and transfusion facilities. It is
a medical device according to Regulation (EU)2017/745, Class IIa for the
separation of blood components for transfusion medicine.
With a maximum capacity of 12 blood bag systems per run, it enables
efficient processing of large specimen volumes. The device delivers
reliably excellent and reproducible sedimentation results thanks to its
very smooth running. Along with its outstanding specifications, the
Sigma 8KBS features impressive energy efficiency and perfectly matched
accessories.
The centrifuge can optionally be equipped with functions for professional data handling in blood banks, based on the ISBT 128 barcode standard.
The centrifuge is optionally available with water cooling.

The Sigma 2‑7 Cyto combines the highlights of the Sigma 2‑7 laboratory centrifuge with state-of-the-art cytology centrifugation. This compact centrifuge excels in cytology labs with its perfectly matched accessories for the gentle and quiet depositing of cells on specimen slides and the possibility of repurposing the centrifuge for cell harvesting or processing of blood collection tubes. Along with saving space in the lab, this is a boon in economic terms.
It is ideal for gentle centrifugation in cytology labs to transfer cells to specimen slides for morphological assessment under the microscope. Cytodiagnostics, in which cells from bodily fluids or organs are subjected to microscopic examination to detect malignant cell changes, for example as part of cancer treatment, is a crucial application area for the Sigma 2‑7 Cyto.

The Sigma 8KS is a refrigerated floor-standing
compact stand-alone refrigerated
centrifuge that is ideal for all-purpose use in the industrial or for all tasks in blood banks, medicine and research sectors. This high-performance centrifuge features impressive capacity of up to 12 x 1,000 ml in a swing-out rotor or 6 x 1,000 ml in a fixed-angle rotor. With a maximum RCF of 20,461 x g, even demanding separation processes can be handled efficiently. Particularly thanks to the ability to use large-volume fixed-angle rotors with high RCF, the Sigma 8KS cover a distinctly broader spectrum of applications compared to competitive units.
The motorized lid lock and its patented one-button control (Spincontrol S) makes the Sigma 8KS especially easy to use. The centrifuge has a low loading height, is pleasantly quiet in operation, and has low power consumption.
This Air-cooled version with compressor is also available in water-cooled version.
